They’re not ready yet, but I’ve been able to get a glance at my new photos coming out early next week. What’s unique about this shoot is it’s the 1st one ever that I’ve actually done from my own place. It’s also the first time I’ve paid a photographer for photos (as usually it’s a trade for time and photos). But it actually worked and I was getting tired of amateur photographers giving me crap pics and then running off with all the good ones. So I figured I’d invest a bit more money into my photos. From a recent shoot from last night:

The guy I been dating for 4 months birthday was like 4 days before Christmas. I asked him the week before, “what would be your ideal birthday, what would make it absolutely special for you?” Since he’s in his mid-30s now, he loathed ‘getting older’ and told me, “I never celebrate my birthday” flat out. Everytime I bought up his birthday, he responded about his loathing of getting older. When I texted him to wish him a Happy Birthday, he told me, “yes it’s today, boooooooo I’m getting older “

Now, the day before I inquired about his usual off days Wednesdays and Thursdays. Thursday was his birthday. He says, “Working today, but hopefully will get tomorrow (his birthday) off”.

Now, based on the above responses, who would be going out of their way to do something very special on their birthday? I didn’t know what to expect. So, the day of his birthday I bought over a couple of gifts he liked and wished him Happy Birthday the moment I walked in. We had dinner at his place and went to the movies.

Now, he’s going on that I showed up 4 hours after I texted him and that he expected me to arrive an hour after. That arriving at 8:45 was unacceptable and that he thought his birthday would be more ‘me centric’. Saying we had to rush thru the dinner to make it to the movie. Then he says he didn’t take off from work for Christmas weekend because he couldn’t justify doing so after his birthday was so bad??? Well you’ve worked on every fucking holiday this year Thanksgiving, Christmas and New Years as it is!

I was like…I TRIED to make your birthday special and you showed very little interest in doing so! You hardly communicate with me outside of when we’re together and this is why 2 months ago I asked you, “please communicate with me more!” How the hell am I supposed to know what you want if you don’t tell me?

So now I’m here feeling like crap because he didn’t enjoy his birthday and I’m just finding this out now. I told him I was ready and willing to spend the whole day with him and go out of my way. It’s like all this time I’ve been trying to get him to communicate with me, asking him why he doesn’t initiate calls and dates, and then on his birthday he wonders why I didn’t do exactly what he wanted. Because he never expressed any desire to do anything.

I’m still willing to give us the chance to work things out, but I’m going to let him know for now on; he needs to speak up. Don’t sit there quiet and agree with everything I say and then take the anger out on me because you couldn’t verbalize how you feel. At the same time, the fact that he couldn’t ever express himself and then drops a bombshell later on makes me feel that all this time he’s been faking how’s he felt all this time. I just think the trust is a bit tarnished and there’s certainly going to have to be some improvements if I’m going to carry on with this.

With all the holiday buzz going around, I neglected to mention my own present for Christmas. Something that meant a lot to me.

10 years ago, the constantly outdoor kid that I was; I made the mistake of falling head first over a pair of handlebars onto the hot Florida pavement while attempting a move on a ‘trick bike’ (I think BMX was the culprit). Balance was not on my side. I must have had pretty strong teeth because I succeeded in only chipping one, albeit right past the enamel portion. Which meant ‘extreme sensitivity.’

For several years, I wavered in and out of whether I should get it fix…and how. But suggestions to get it fixed would appear at the most surprising times and leave me feeling like crap for hours, sometimes even days on end. Having visited 4 different dentists over the years, I finally settled on one literally less than a football field a way from my front door here in Denver. They understood that it wasn’t simply a cosmetic fix, but a lifestyle fix. With that, I was given the opportunity to pay my way through the procedure as it was done.

Well, 3 weeks ago I went in to try them on. Initially I wasn’t happy with the turn out (of course it’s not rare that most dental procedures involve atleast 2 ‘endings’). However, a week later I went back to try them on re-shaped, and lightened to the shade of my natural teeth (I’ve only used 1 whitening treatment in my whole life, and Crest professional effects for $49 put me on the lightest shade the dental office had available and I did that back in August!)

The results were amazing. Something that had challenged my self-esteem on and off for many years had finally ended. Truth be told, there are mornings I wake up forgetting they were done. In addition, last night I had a nightmare that I was back at the dentist getting the teeth worked on and they screwed them up! So it’s certainly something that has life altering effects and I’m still paranoid about ever breaking them again (then again, how many times in a lifetime do you chip your front pearly Whites?)

Although I couldn’t find a single close-up self-taken photo to look halfway decent, I have an upcoming shoot in the next week that will unleash my new look. But in the meantime, I provided a sneak preview after practice shaving in the bathroom for this next photo shoot.

The after Christmas ‘sales’ have seemed to bought out the worst in some people. Even my offering 1/2 hour time frame rates to give leeway to the strapped for time and cash Christmas shoppers which I only do once every 2 years or so doesn’t seem to be enough to mitigate the situation. As I stated in my previous below, callers seem to be brainwashed into thinking everything that’s up for purchase should be for sale or ridiculously discounted. That’s fine for merchandise because they need to make room for new inventory for the next holiday: Valentines day! And they need to clear out all the winter items and get ready for Spring! Trust me I know, I used to work retail…from October to December.

With that said, it’s so bad that I’ve had to save 3 ‘don’t answer if they ever call again’ numbers to my phone in 1 day! See, I keep track of who contacts me both good and bad. So that way I know how to answer the phone if the number appears again. I’ve compiled a humorous list of names that I’ve stored over the months. Feel free to use at your convenience:

I won’t even excuse some of the behavior lately over Christmas shopping because I am well aware that the amount of people spending large amounts on gifts and presents in this year of 2011 is nowhere near what it used to be back in the 90s. Spending time with various people over this and other holidays, I have not witnessed any bank-breaking spending on others to warrant telling an escort that, “there’s another guy/2 other guys/regular guy that is asking for less.” 1 guy I went on a date with over the weekend, basically ate and drank merrily for free (and so did I) at the expense of his friends. TWO days in a row. Another man, my ‘boyfriend’ who I’ve been seeing for the past 4-5 months made out as if he forgot the holiday, even working on the sacred day and would rather be Jewish (what the hell is with all this voiced Judaism conversion lately? Don’t you know the Jewish probably wouldn’t accept your sinning ass anyway?). And if you can’t handle 1 day of Christmas, you certainly would fail 8 days of Hanukkah Another friend, received gift cards for Christmas, from which according to him were given by his dad from stolen goods. So, doesn’t sound like anyone is spending any money!

Now, it’ well known that this isn’t confined to simply holiday times…but rather a year round thing. But when it happens the day of Christmas, and then a couple days later; one can’t help but think some are trying it on.

Christmas, I get a call around 1 am. Now, in past holidays a late night Christmas call has certainly reaped it’s benefits (I was once given $300 on a late night Christmas). However, this joker calls..seeing my rate, and proceeds to tell me, “I have another guy I know who said he’ll do it for $100 but his body isn’t as nice as yours.” Then for the next 10 minutes he goes on and on. Why I didn’t hang up with him? Because I wanted to see just how ridiculous he’d carry on. At the end I get him to agree on doing $180, and to send me his address. End of conversation. Today, one guy tried being polite about it but royally insulted me in the process which I think was the intent. Guy from backpage, which is considered the bottom of the barrel shit for many higher end male escorts; yet I use it anyway occasionally as for $1.40-2.00 a posting that lasts a week…it’s not a bad idea. Anyhow, guy texts (doh!) and asks my rate for massage and encounter. It’s $180. I get a reply message saying: No worries. But apparently a small speck tarnishes all the good. Obviously the speck was so small they wanted to detain me for 3 hours, deny my entry and not arrest me for it. Well for fuck’s sake, I was technically in prison so it seemed.

The real blame goes to all the idiot terrorists who have ruined international travel for the younger generation. The increase in cross border security has made it difficult for even former visitors of Canada to get into now (after doing some searching on Google). That said, I believe Canada is a wonderful country that wants it to stay that way…so perhaps in the future I will attempt a second try. But honestly after all of that, I’d be more inclined to go to the real France.

After a couple of years saying I’d get one, and a couple of weeks of delay with the Department of State wanting my whole life history; I finally received the APPROVED letter for my first passport card. At the start of next year, I’ll upgrade to the book and will have some extra peace of mind by having both. I hope to make my first overseas trip early next year.
